Upgrade overview

Before you upgrade
Check the archive for the target version before starting. Some releases require additional steps — such as manual schema changes or configuration updates — that must be completed before or after the standard procedure. Skipping these steps can leave the instance in an inconsistent state.
- Check the current version of the instance and the target version.
- Take a database backup and confirm the rollback procedure before making any changes.
- Verify that database, message queue, and storage dependency versions are compatible with the target release.
- After the upgrade, verify sign-in, integrations, and test result ingestion.
