Personal settings
Personal settings control the account details and interface preferences that belong only to you: name, email, password, avatar, theme, and navigation colors. They do not affect the instance or other users.
View your profile
To view your profile data, click your avatar and go to the Profile section.
It contains:
- full name: your first and last name;
- role: your global role in the Allure TestOps instance: Admin, User, or Guest;
- username: the short identifier of your account, as entered during registration;
- email: the email for receiving notifications from Allure TestOps.
Change your name
To change your account name:
- Click your avatar and go to the Profile section.
- Click Edit name.
- Enter your first and last name.
- Click Save.
Change email
To change your account email:
Click your avatar and go to the Profile section.
Click Change email next to the email.
Enter a new email.
Click Save.
The email must be unique within the Allure TestOps instance.
Allure TestOps will send a confirmation link to the new email. The link will expire in 24 hours. Once you confirm the new email, it will be reflected in your profile.
If you did not receive a confirmation email or the link expired, click Resend link in the user profile. To cancel the changes before they are confirmed, click Cancel change.
Change password
You can change the password only when the instance uses built-in username and password authentication for your account. If your team signs in through LDAP, OpenID Connect, or SAML, password changes belong to that identity provider.
Change password from your profile
- Click your avatar and go to the Profile section.
- Click Change password.
- Enter your current password and a new password.
- Click Save.
Reset password from the sign-in screen
- Open the Allure TestOps sign-in screen.
- Click Forgot password? Restore!.
- Enter the email address linked with your account and click Reset password.
- Follow the link in the email you receive to change your password.
- In the dialog box that opens, enter a new password twice.
- Click Reset password to save the changes.
Change your avatar
Change logs and activity views show your username and avatar together. Adding a recognizable avatar makes ownership easier to scan.
Click your avatar and go to the Profile section.
Click Update avatar.
Choose a new avatar image by selecting a file from your device.
Keep the file size under 1 MB.The avatar might not update immediately because your browser may cache the old image.
Change theme and navigation colors
Allure TestOps supports three themes:
- Light
- Dark
- System
To change the theme:
Click your avatar.
In the Theme section, choose your preferred option from the menu:
- Light: dark text on a light background;
- Dark: light text on a dark background;
- System: Allure TestOps theme will match your system theme.
Additionally, you can change the color of the navigation bars (sidebar and breadcrumb navigation) independently of the main theme.
- Click your avatar.
- In the Navigation section, choose your preferred option from the menu.
