Invite users to the instance
Invitations create new instance accounts for people who are not yet in Allure TestOps. Administrators use this flow when they need to bring someone into the instance as an Admin, User, or Guest, or when an existing invitation needs to be resent or canceled.
Invitations apply to local accounts only. If your instance uses an external identity provider (OpenID Connect, SAML2 or LDAP), do not use this flow — users are provisioned automatically on first login. Sending invitations alongside an external provider adds unnecessary steps and can confuse users about how to log in.
Before you rely on invitation email
- Local-account invitation flows depend on working email delivery.
- For Server deployments, configure SMTP before relying on invitation emails.
Send an invitation
- Go to Administration → Members.
- Click Invite people.
- Enter one or more email addresses.
- Select the global role to assign after registration: Admin, User, or Guest.
- Click Send invites.
The invitation appears on the Invites tab until the person completes registration. The link expires after 24 hours.
Resend or cancel an invitation
- Go to Administration → Members → Invites.
- Find the invitation in the list.
- Click
⋯next to it and select Resend invite or Cancel invite.
If the person already has an account
If the person already exists in the instance and only needs access to a specific project, use Project access and visibility instead.
